Introduction to the Project

Electric Zoo Festival is New York City's largest music event, captivating audiences for over 20 years. Positive Lifting was honored to be entrusted with the staging and structural reinforcement installations, playing a critical role in the planning, execution, and successful completion of this high-profile event.

Specialized Crane Operations and Expertise

This project showcased Positive Lifting’s expertise in specialized crane operations, precision rigging, and complex lifting solutions. With a workforce of 35 skilled professionals, including 6 master riggers, 6 cranes, and 4 riggers per crane, our team executed all staging installations ahead of schedule, ensuring a seamless event setup.

Handling Heavy Lifts with Precision

One of the project's most demanding aspects involved lifting 100,000-pound sections of structural staging at heights ranging from 100 to 200 feet. Using specialized spreader beams, spreader bars, and a full array of advanced rigging equipment, our team delivered precise, safe, and efficient lifting solutions. Avant Gardner, the festival’s production team, was highly impressed with our execution, reinforcing our reputation as a leader in the industry.

Complex Tandem and Multi-Crane Lifts

Beyond standard staging installations, this project required critical tandem and multi-crane lifts, where two to three cranes were operated in perfect synchronization to collectively hoist a 120,000-pound section. To ensure absolute precision and safety, our master riggers and engineers meticulously designed and executed each lift with calculated expertise.
