Positive Lifting successfully completed a complex project for Aston Martin, providing crane and rigging services for the installation of large, customized glass at Aston Martin's new exclusive showroom located on Park Avenue.
The scope of work involved precise crane and rigging operations to install large, delicate glass panels, including cantilevered pieces, ensuring each piece was securely and accurately placed. Under the supervision of a master rigger, Positive Lifting's highly skilled rigging team employed expert techniques and customized suction cups to safely position these massive glass elements.
To execute the project efficiently, Positive Lifting utilized state-of-the-art equipment, including a Liebherr LTM 1100 (120-ton capacity) mobile crane and a Grove GMK3050B (50-ton capacity) mobile crane, along with tractor trailers to transport the glass. Our expert rigging team safely and efficiently handled the delivery, offloading, and precise installation of the glass panels from the warehouse to the showroom.
To ensure safety and compliance, Positive Lifting managed all logistics and permits required for working on Park Avenue, including those from the Department of Buildings (DOB), MTA, Port Authority, and specific approvals for bike lane and pedestrian walkway occupancy. Temporary pedestrian walkways and bike lanes were established, along with a comprehensive public protection plan, which was executed flawlessly.
Throughout the project, Positive Lifting adhered to the highest standards of safety, rigorously following all rigging and lifting methods. The project was completed efficiently, and the client was extremely pleased with the results.
